"Oil painting has long been a passion for me. I love the flow of the paint and the slow drying process, allowing for blending and layering and for creating great detail. It's fun to mix and blend colors to create countless hues."
Here is my latest painting called "Sunset Commute" Done in oils on canvas, the dimensions of the painting are 24" x 48". The model for this was is photograph by Jay Fitzgerald, and was taken heading into the city of Richmond, VA just as the sun was setting, producing brilliant reflections off the buildings.

"Inspiration for paintings often come from the desire to give a gift that has special meaning with uniqueness to the recipient. My son, for many years, asked me to do a painting of the mountains for him, something we share a great love for. That became his 32nd birthday gift. When his two daughters were born, my gifts to them were paintings depicting special messages especially for them. Recently, my daughter-in-law remarked that she was only one without a personalized painting. Her request was a painting of Hogwarts. So, here it is...."Harry's Hallows"! It was an absolute joy to paint and my most challenging attempt at a detailed acrylic painting. The result was an overjoyed response from my daughter-in-law and the blessing of being able to give her that!"
